Labor Day, Utah, Phoenix, and much more!

So...it feels as if I blinked and now it is suddenly December.  Where did the time go?!?  I am very behind in the posts, so I'm so sorry if this gets a little confusing and long.  :)

About a week after my last post, we went to see Dave Matthews Band at The Gorge over Labor Day with Maday and Brandon and our friends Sean and Cortney.  It was our first weekend away from Hunter, and I was a little nervous on how I would react to being away from him...but it was fabulous!  Of course I missed our little dude, but it was so nice to have a few days of just relaxing and having no worries.  I did check in on him a few times, but mostly I just tried to relax, because I knew he was in great hands.  :)  My mother and father-in law flew up for the weekend to help watch him, so I knew he was safe and having tons of fun with his Grandma Laurie and Buppa.  :)

Cute Maday and Brandon.
After we came back from The Gorge, Brandon, Maday, Laurie, and Mike all stayed for a few more days, so we were able to go eat at some yummy places, like Salty's on Alki, and just hang out and play with Hunter.  I loved having everyone come visit, so much fun!

The rest of September consisted of hanging out outside, playing with friends, and watching some football.  :)

Hunter LOVES to sleep in the stink bug position.  Cute little dude!
He looks so precious when he sleeps...love him!

On September 15th, Cody and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.  We didn't go anywhere new or fancy like we have done in the past, but we stayed home, ordered some pizza, and played with Hunter and Vega and had a blast!  We thought it was a fantastic way to spend our 5th anniversary.

At the end of September, we went back to Utah for Mikey and Jemessa's wedding.  It was beautiful weather, beautiful bride, and a beautiful reception.  We were in Utah for almost a week, and other than the wedding and reception, we didn't have much planned other than trying to see as many people as possible.  :)  Hunter was so good with all the driving, flying, and sleeping in different places.  I think he liked being the center of attention.  :)

Watching the planes!
At the Logan Temple.

We had to get Hunter changed in the back of the car, and when we were finished, he was giving us the funniest looks.  He looks so mischievous right here!  Silly boy!
While in Utah, we went and visited my Uncle Aaron and his wife Jessica.  They were being foster parents for a momma kitten and her babies.  It was so fun to be snuggled with kittens, and Hunter was so interested in those cute little things.  It was a lot of fun to take Hunter to play with the babies.  :)
I love me some baby kitteh snuggles!

From Utah, we flew with Cody's parents and grandparents to Phoenix for Brandon and Maday's wedding.  All of us stayed in this awesome house close to Brandon and Maday's home.  This house had enough rooms for us all, a huge kitchen, a movie projector, a pool, a hot tub, a slide into the pool, a grill outside, and a gas fire outside.  Ah-mazing!  It was so much fun playing with all the kids and spending time with family.  And the wedding was amazing as well!  It all turned out so beautiful, and it was so much fun welcoming Maday to the John family.  :)

Hunter LOVED the pool, if you can't tell by that happy face!

After the wedding, we still had a few more days of hanging by the pool and soaking up the sun.  There was also a birthday party at the house...little Gaige turned one!  All the kids were pretty entertained with the opening of the gifts and of course, the cake!

It was so hard to leave after two weeks of fun and family, and it was extra hard to leave the pool and sun!  ;)  It feels like no matter how much time we spend with our families, as soon as we leave them, we miss them so much.  Thankfully Christmas is just around the corner.  :)

Saying good-bye to my Anna Bug.  She is just too cute!

Another big thanks to Jami for capturing this amazing picture of my baby Hunter.  Dem eyes!!

Puppies, Planes, and SUN!!!

I've gotten a little behind with my blogging, so I must post a warning: I have TONS of pictures to post, so prepare yourselves, there are many pictures to look through.  :)

A few weekends ago we had the opportunity to watch one of our friends' dog while they went away for the weekend.  He is an adorable, two year old, lab mix named Vader.  He is the sweetest most gentle big dog.  Anyway, he and Vega got along wonderfully, and Cody and I had an absolute blast watching him.  We didn't have much planned for the weekend, so we mainly just hung out at home and watched the puppies wrestle and took them on walks around the neighborhood with Hunter.

We got a little nervous when we saw a kitty on our walk, but the dogs just looked longingly at the cat without making much movement towards it.

After all the wrestling and walking, we had two very tired puppies.
I'm not sure which dog is which!
They even have matching beds.
Snuggling with Cody on the couch.  Spoiled doggies!
Hunter LOVED having the extra pup over, and he enjoyed watching them play and run around the house.   We got a lot of him watching the puppies on video, but this one is by far one of the best.

The only problem with us having watched Vader, is now it is making us puppy hungry!  :)

The next weekend the Blue Angels were in town, and so we decided to go somewhere and watch them fly and do their tricks.  I was worried about the noise, so we didn't want to be directly under them, so we found little beach in Seattle somewhat close by to watch.  They were so cool to see, but we weren't thinking and totally forgot to bring our real camera and only had our phones to snap pictures, and our phones weren't fast enough to capture the planes.  These are the few that we are kind of able to see the planes.

While we were waiting for the show to start, we hung out with some snacks and some wine and entertained Hunter.

We have been having such wonderful weather here that we have been taking advantage of being able to do "outside" things.  :)  We have been going on long walks, enjoying the pool, having picnics, going on hikes, and hanging out in our yard.

Our hike at Franklin Falls near Snoqualmie.

Chilling at the pool.

Hunter and Denny, best of friends!

Enjoying our deck in the backyard and playing in the grass in the front yard.

We also had some firsts with Hunter this past month.  He has learned to sit on his own...

so we tried his first swing, he found it very funny.

And he had his first ride in the cart, of course it was at Target.  :)

And he was able to fit into his first Seahawks shirt!  Go Seahawks!

With all the of this running around and all these firsts, it's no surprise when we find our little man fast asleep.

Sweet sleepy little boy.
Finally, we have some super cute photos of Hunter just being cute and playing with Daddy.

Our little boy turned eight months on the 22nd.  He is such a joy and his personality is just so cute.  He is learning new things everyday and it is so amazing to me to watch this little person grow and learn.  It has been a great summer and even tho the weather is changing, we are hoping to continue with our adventures.  :)
