Hunter's Room

Since Hunter has been born, he has lived in three different houses. :) First there was my in-law's basement in Utah where we stayed for about three weeks. We tell Hunter that was is first home. :) Next there was our house in Seattle, which we now call the Green House where Hunter had his own room, but he only lived there for a week. Because we moved so fast, we obviously didn't get his room there finished, but I did snap some pictures while we were living there, to capture his time there.

And his third room is our house in Redmond, that we call the Blue House. This room we have had plenty of time to fix up and decorate. Because this blog is a journal of our going ons and for us to look back over our time here, I have a lot of different angles of his room, so I apologize for so many pictures. :)

In the Blue House, Hunter has his own bathroom, so I took some pictures of his bathroom to share, too.

I will post pictures of the rest the Blue House shortly. :)

Quick Visit to Utah

Last weekend we had our first visit down to Utah with Hunter. It was a very fast trip, leaving late Wednesday night and returning to Seattle Sunday morning, but it was very fun! We had everything packed and ready to go for our first flight with Hunter on Wednesday night, and we left for the airport with plenty of time to get through traffic and security. Of course, because we got there so early, there was only one person in front of us in security, and we were through in less than two minutes. :) I'm guessing if we were running late, there would have been more people in line. ;) Anyway, so we had Hunter in his carrier and wandered around the airport entertaining him with the gift shops. Finally, it was our time to board.

Hunter patiently waiting for take off.

I will admit, Cody and I were a little nervous on how he would handle the flight. We planned on a later flight in hopes that he would eat and then sleep. He did eat just fine, and he didn't cry at all, but he did not sleep. He was very tired, but there was just too much for him to take in, and so he wouldn't sit still long enough to sleep. So Cody and I just had to pass him back and forth because he was fidgety. But he did it! He handled his first plane ride so awesomely! :) The next day we rode up to Logan and got Hunter ready for a wedding luncheon we were attending. My sweet little cousin got married, which is why we headed to Utah in the first place. :)  Congrats to Kelina and Mo!  Love ya!  It was a busy day, but Hunter did very well. He only got cranky toward the end of the reception when he was tired and ready for bed.

My mom, Grandma Rose, holding Hunter.

The next few days consisted of hanging out at my in-laws with Cousin Anna and hanging out at my mom's house. Thankfully they are about a five minute walk from each other, so we would put Hunter in the carrier and walk to whomever's house we wanted to go. It was very convenient. :) It was a great, very fast trip, but oh so fun and great to see everyone!

Of course we had our visit to The Italian Place. Yum!

I think Hunter wanted to eat my sandwich!

Then over to Grandma Rose's for a nap.

And lots of hanging out with Buppa!

Sunny in Seattle!

A few weekends ago was beautiful, 70 degrees, and sunny here in Seattle. So we took advantage of the fantastic weather. On Saturday we got up early and ran our errands, running to Target and then Fred Meyer to do our grocery shopping. We finished up and drove to Mercer Island, which is in the middle of Lake Washington, and met up with some friends and visited a new off leash dog park. It was so fun walking around and watching the dogs go swimming. Hunter and I had to stay back a bit so we didn't get trampled by all the dogs there. :)
Hunter and I just hanging out. :)

It was a great day, and thankfully we wore Vega out pretty good. On Sunday we packed up a lunch and went to Gasworks Park to enjoy a picnic.

Our friends met up with us to enjoy the sun. Pedro is snuggling with Hunter.

After a few hours there, we came home and put Hunter down for a nap and Cody and I went on the deck to read and soak up some more sun. Vega was also enjoying the sun on the deck. We had brought home a stick for Vega from the Mercer Island dog park from the day before, and she was obsessed with that stick, and no matter where she was laying, the stick was there with her. Silly pup!

Because it was so nice outside, I had to take some pictures of the view from our deck. Here are a few.

After all the fun and playing around, Hunter needed a bath.  Here he is all nice, clean, and very sleepy.

It was a great weekend, and we are crossing our fingers that we get many more of those wonderful sunny weekends. :)
