Busy, busy, busy!

There are so many things to catch up on, so I apologize in advance for the length of this post.  :)  So, one day we took Vega to the dog park, as we do very often, and while Vega was being silly and running around, Hunter and I decided to take a nap.  :)

Hunter has become very interested in Vega in the last little while.  They are so cute together!  Hunter loves watching Vega at the dog park, and looking at all the other dogs as well, and at home Vega usually finds her way to where ever Hunter is.

Such cute little ones we have!

For the Fourth of July we had a BBQ and invited some friends and their kids over before the fireworks.

Cute babies in their matching 4th of July outfits.

 Hunter being super happy!

We did have plans to go meet some friends at a park in Bellevue to watch the fireworks, but after everyone left and we cleaned up, Cody, Hunter and I were hanging out outside and Hunter was being so happy and cute, we just didn't want to mess that up.  So we ended up staying home and "protecting" Vega from all the scary loud noises.  :)

That next weekend I really, really wanted to go the the Woodland Park Zoo.  So we packed up the stroller and headed out.  But first, we met some friends for brunch at Portage Bay.

Denny and Hunter waiting for their food.

Then it was off to the zoo!  Getting ready to see all the animals.  :)

Stretching out the legs in between all the fun...

Being a cute little man...

It's tough having fun...

The next day we got to go chill by the pool, yes, they have pools in Seattle.  :)

We did get in the pool with Hunter, but because we were all swimming, obviously we didn't get any pictures.  Next time we will remember to take pictures while Hunter is swimming.

They have these kids concerts in the park on Tuesday mornings in Kirkland, and I decided to take Hunter to the first one.  He LOVED it!  I wasn't quite sure how he would even like it because he is still a bit to small for this kind of thing, but he loved the music and watching the other kids dance.

Hunter loves playing in the grass.  Here he is after the concert.

Because the concert is close to Cody's work, we met up and ate lunch after.  Hunter was super happy to spend lunch time with his Daddy.  What a cute boy!

Next, we went to Alki Beach.  It was so fun, and the kids were so good all day.  We only got rained on just a little, but then it cleared up and was an awesomely, beautiful day.

Even with all this fun and busy stuff going on, we still found time to do a little car shopping.  :)  So, for a little late birthday present, we found me a new car.  My sweet hubby sure knows how to spoil me.

Our old black Subaru, which will be very much missed.  It was a great car.

My new Pearl Satin White 2012 Subaru.

One very happy girl!

For my birthday dinner, we went out for some sushi, and Hunter was being such a sweet little man.  Cody was making him laugh so hard, and I was able to catch a little of it on video.
Love it!

After all the craziness and excitement over the past few weeks, this was how I found Hunter, fast asleep in his ExerSaucer.   How I love this little man!

Hunter also turned seven months on the 22nd.  I still can not understand how fast time is moving these days.  :)  We have been keeping plenty busy, that's for sure.  I will make sure and keep posting pictures when we have a few spare minutes.  :)

A Quick Update

Because I assume that no one is really super interested in what Cody and I are doing, just Hunter, that I have noticed that ALL my posts are pictures and updates of Hunter.  Which, I am sure, is just fine with most of you.  :)  So I decided to have a quick post about what Cody and I have been up to.  :)

A few weeks ago, Cody actually started a new job at a company called Service Now, in Kirkland.  There was an opening and Cody saw an opportunity to start with a smaller company that will hopefully, very soon, become very big.  Cody thought long and hard, and decided that this would be a good change for him.  So far, he is loving it.  He didn't realize how much he missed working with a smaller company.  I say smaller because, basically, any company other than Microsoft is going to be smaller.  :)  Service Now is about four miles away from our house in Redmond, and now that the weather is starting to become more sunny, Cody will be able to enjoy some very nice bike rides to and from work.  :)

I have been very happy being able to stay home with Hunter.  I love watching him grow and become his own little person.  I recently started going to a little aerobic type class called Stroller Strides, which allows you to bring your little one and also get in a very nice workout.  I LOVE it!  It makes me get out of the house and enjoy the outside, and class isn't usually cancelled because of rain, they just move the location.  I have also been able to meet some very nice ladies and their little ones.  It's been a lot of fun. Next I am hoping to start taking Hunter to either some Gymboree classes or some other type of fun things for Hunter to be able to interact with some other kids his age.  :)

Cody and I have been meeting new people and making lots of friends.  I know that we have been here for a year and a half, and we have been making friends this whole time, but because we were living in Seattle, and most of the people we would want to hang out with worked at Microsoft and lived on the East side, such as Redmond, Kirkland, or Bellevue, it just made it harder to hang out with people.  Since we have moved to Redmond, and with Hunter being a bit older, we have been getting together with a lot of really cool people.  It has been a lot of fun having Hunter be around lots of other kids and babies.  He is so fascinated with other little kids, it's so cute!

As for trips coming up, because most of you know how Cody and I love to travel, we don't have anything super major planned.  Over Labor Day, Cody, his brother and fiancee, and myself are going to spend a few days at The Gorge to watch the Dave Matthews Band.  Cody's mom and dad are also flying here to watch Hunter for a few days while Cody and I take our first mini vaycay away from the little man.  :)  We are also going to be flying into Utah at the end of September for Mikey and Jemessa's wedding (my step-brother), then from there fly to Phoenix for Brandon and Maday's wedding (Cody's brother).  Then, hopefully a road trip to Logan for Christmas when we can bring Vega.  We are hoping to plan a trip to Portland, OR and hopefully a trip to Canada after we get Hunter a passport.  There are also a few other fun places around here that we would like to go explore.

So, I guess that pretty much sums up things on Cody and I.  Our lives are pretty much revolved around the Hunter dude, but we couldn't be happier!

Jett's Flight Plan

Cody has this friend from high school, who had a beautiful baby boy born just a few weeks before Hunter was, named Jett.  Sadly, he was born with a very rare condition called Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia-Type 2.  Because of this condition, they started doing this awesome thing where they sell t-shirts to help with their medical bills and then asked if you could take the shirts with you on your travels.  It is kind of like taking little Jett with you around the world, since he might not be able to make to all these places on his own.  Since we were already in Seattle, we decided to take Jett with us.

To see Jett's story, click here - Jett's Flight Plan, or to purchase a t-shirt, click here - Jett Shirt.  To follow his travels and updates on Jett, visit fighterjett.blogspot.com.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to little Jett everyday.
