Last weekend we had our first visit down to Utah with Hunter. It was a very fast trip, leaving late Wednesday night and returning to Seattle Sunday morning, but it was very fun! We had everything packed and ready to go for our first flight with Hunter on Wednesday night, and we left for the airport with plenty of time to get through traffic and security. Of course, because we got there so early, there was only one person in front of us in security, and we were through in less than two minutes. :) I'm guessing if we were running late, there would have been more people in line. ;) Anyway, so we had Hunter in his carrier and wandered around the airport entertaining him with the gift shops. Finally, it was our time to board.
Hunter patiently waiting for take off.
I will admit, Cody and I were a little nervous on how he would handle the flight. We planned on a later flight in hopes that he would eat and then sleep. He did eat just fine, and he didn't cry at all, but he did not sleep. He was very tired, but there was just too much for him to take in, and so he wouldn't sit still long enough to sleep. So Cody and I just had to pass him back and forth because he was fidgety. But he did it! He handled his first plane ride so awesomely! :)
The next day we rode up to Logan and got Hunter ready for a wedding luncheon we were attending. My sweet little cousin got married, which is why we headed to Utah in the first place. :) Congrats to Kelina and Mo! Love ya! It was a busy day, but Hunter did very well. He only got cranky toward the end of the reception when he was tired and ready for bed.
My mom, Grandma Rose, holding Hunter.
The next few days consisted of hanging out at my in-laws with Cousin Anna and hanging out at my mom's house. Thankfully they are about a five minute walk from each other, so we would put Hunter in the carrier and walk to whomever's house we wanted to go. It was very convenient. :) It was a great, very fast trip, but oh so fun and great to see everyone!
Of course we had our visit to The Italian Place. Yum!
I think Hunter wanted to eat my sandwich!
Then over to Grandma Rose's for a nap.
And lots of hanging out with Buppa!
Cody's grandma, GeeGee, snuggling with Hunter.
Hunter and Anna having fun chillin' on the floor. :)
Anna and I playing in her cute cardboard box store from Maday that Grandma Laurie put together, with only a few choice words. ;)
Three generations of John Boys!
Love the pics! It was great to see you!
